  • Commercial Facade Grant Program

    Beautify your storefront and your neighborhood with the help of a facade grant from the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, in partnership with the City of Pittsburgh's Main & Main initiative. This program helps business owners and commercial property owners invest in attractive, welcoming spaces that strengthen local appeal while supporting long-term success.

    Your business must be located in the City of Pittsburgh and the applicable application fee must be paid in order to initiate the review and underwriting process.

    Please note: there is a $1.75 charge to pay the application fee online using the above link. To pay by check, please make a payment of $50 to The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh with "Facade Grant" in the memo line. Checks can be mailed to:

    Grant applications will be accepted before set deadlines. All applications received within the deadline window will be reviewed within that funding round. All applications received after the grant deadline will not be reviewed until another grant application window opens. Additional application rounds are not guaranteed. All grants are subject to funding availability and project evaluation.

  • All applicants for loans or grants from the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh are requested to disclose if they are employees or related to employees of the URA or the City of Pittsburgh. If you are an employee or related to a City or URA employee, a formal Conflict of Interest waiver must be presented to the URA's Board of Directors. If the source of funding for your URA financing is the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), then you must also submit a formal Conflict of Interest waiver to City Planning and to HUD for approval.
